Welcome Baby

I created this card for my sister in law if she has a baby boy.  I used the current colors of the week, Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise.  I used a card sketch from a current magazine.  I was able to pull out the Big Top Birthday DSP, because the colors in the paper worked for this color challenge.  I also used the Nursery Times stampset.  I have such fond memories of Mother Goose as a young child I had to get this set.  The best part of the card was that Daniel told me he loved the card because of the red ribbon and the cow jumping over the moon. Snow Much Fun in August

 Yeah for a rainy day.  Sounds funny to say, but because of the rain I am able to create a little bit today.  Today I am playing with a new set I bought, Snow Much Fun.  I am going to use this set at non-religous cards at Christmas.  This may actually be one of my Christmas cards.  I love that I was able to bling the card.  Thanks for looking.

Gently Falling

I am so excited this week to show I a card I made with the beautiful leave set, Gently Falling from the upcoming Holiday Mini.  When I saw the colors of the week, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip I knew I had to play with this set.  I used the big maple leave and stamped the outside in Chocolate Chip and the middle is Certainly Celery rocked in Crumb Cake.  I made two cards because one has the Antique Brad in it and the other Rhinestone Stickers on Very Vanilla5/8 Jumbo brad.

A Graduation card

I created this card a while ago, but only now am I getting a chance to post it.  I love this new set from the catalog, Field of Flowers.  I created this for a cousin of Mike's who graduated recently.  I used the pretty Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper as the background paper. The sketch is one from early summer Mojo Monday one.  Thanks for looking.

Thank you for the Lifeguards

I created this as thank you for the lifeguards and swim instructors at our beach.  They have been great with the kids this year that I had to say thanks.  I used the Fun in the Sun kids to create a fun card.  I punched them out on the front, and then on the inside I punch the kids on the bottom.  Thanks for looking.

Little Princess

When I saw this new catalog I had to have this set, Little Princess, because of my neice.  So for the colors of the week, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, and River Rock, I thougth they had a regal look so I used the stampset.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch from last week.  I paper pieced the dress by stamping the prince orginally on Whisper White.  I stamped it again on Melon Mambo and cut the dress and crown out.  I love Melon Mambo as the dress she reminds me of one my favorite princesses, Aurora or as she known Sleeping Beauty. I used River Rock maker to create a dirty blond look to the Princess.

Fun with Pinwheels

When I began thinking about this card I thought that I wanted to create a card with a Pinwheel.  They are all the rage right now, with Pennants.  I also knew I wanted to use the colors of the week, Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, Marina Mist.  I was not sure how about a sketch.  So as luck would have it my friend Stasia made this beautiful card which got the wheels in my head spinning.  So here is the result.  Pinwheels are super easy to create and a great way to use scraps.
